Members
Still I'm Sad has always been more than a band name. It is a story of friendships, broken chapters, returns, studios, memories, and songs that refused to disappear. From the first tapes in Piraeus to the reunion era, each member left a mark on the sound and spirit of the band.
Current Line-up
Yannis “The Loner”
Guitars · Vocals · Keyboards · Songwriting
Founder of Still I'm Sad and the central creative force behind the band since 1999. Yannis shaped the band's emotional identity through melodic hard rock, heavy guitars, personal lyrics, acoustic passages, and long-form musical storytelling.
From the earliest home demos to the reunion albums, his music carries the core atmosphere of Still I'm Sad: melancholy, memory, resilience, and the need to turn silence into sound.
Pavlos “SnakEye”
Drums · Songwriting · Arrangements
Pavlos joined Still I'm Sad during one of the band's most important turning points, bringing power, groove, and a new creative energy to the sound. His drumming became a defining part of the band's 2003–2004 era and later of the reunion.
After nearly two decades, his reconnection with Yannis helped open the door to the resurrection of Still I'm Sad in 2024. Since then, his playing and songwriting have helped drive the band's new era forward.
Bill “Sound Machine”
Bass · Guitars · Sound Engineering · Production
Bill has been part of the Still I'm Sad story since the early Sound Machine Studio years. First as the band's sound engineer and later as an official member, he became one of the key figures behind the band's sound, recordings, and rebirth.
In the reunion era, Bill officially joined on bass, bringing new energy, musical ideas, and a deep connection to the band's history. His role expanded further with songwriting and guitar contributions.

Founder · Bass · Lyrics

Friends, Guests, and the Still I'm Sad Family
Many people helped shape the Still I'm Sad story: singers, drummers, friends, studio collaborators, guest musicians, and people who kept the music alive even when the band itself was silent. Some appeared only for a short time, but their contribution remained part of the band's history.
Pari — a key figure in the early Still I'm Sad story. She wrote the lyrics for “Για Πάντα Και Ποτέ” / “Forever and Never”, the band’s first progressive rock song, created the original Still I'm Sad logo, and helped Yannis buy the black Epiphone guitar that would become central to the band’s sound and identity.
Petros “R.P.N.” — drums, backing vocals and studio support on "Για Πάντα και Ποτέ".
Dimitra — vocals in the first full-band line-up.
George — guest drums on "Όταν η Σιωπή Συναντά τη Θλίψη".
Spyros “Octopus” Kavasakalis — guest drums on “Είναι αργά”.
Foulis — lyric contribution for “Ένα Τραγούδι Για Κάθε Όνειρο”.
Christina — vocals during later side-project and transition periods.
The Spirit of the Band
Still I'm Sad has passed through many forms: duo, full band, trio, studio project, archive, reunion, and finally a living band again. The line-ups changed, the sound evolved, and years of silence passed. But the core remained the same: emotional hard rock, friendship, memory, and the refusal to let unfinished songs disappear.
